Preservation period for essential oils and floral water

Most essential oils can be preserved for years.  Some even mature with time, like good wines. Preservation of citrus essences, carrier oils and floral waters is limited to one or two years. These should be stored at 15º C to 22º C, away from light, air, heat and cold. During the warm season, it is preferable to store them in a refrigerator.

As essential oils are volatile, their containers should not be opened needlessly and should be carefully closed after each use.
