Overview
Floral waters are by-products of the steam
or water distillation process used in
the extraction of essential oils. They
were formerly known as hydrolats, hydrosols
or distillate waters.
Floral waters contain water-soluble plant
substances as well as traces of essential
oils. That's why they have the same benefits
as their corresponding oils.
The chemical components of hydrosol being
primarily hydrophilic (water-loving)
acids, floral water is beneficial to
the skin and body.
Floral waters are highly "skin-friendly".
They are refreshing, astringent, anti-inflammatory
and act as a mild antiseptic.
They are ideal for face and body sprays,
and used in the production of face and
body creams, tonics and masks.
Genuine flower and herbal waters — like
the ones made by Lotus Aroma — are
free of any synthetics or artificial
preservatives.
Lotus Aroma Floral Waters
Lotus Aroma floral Waters are 100% pure
and 100% natural, and contain no
alcohol and no skin irritants.
They are excellent for refreshing the
skin, putting the finishing touches on
make-up removal, or for preparing the
skin for other care products. These tonic
lotions are rich in natural elements
and are very gentle for highly sensitive
skins or baby skins.
Floral waters are also wonderful emollients.
They can be used after rinsing with water
to neutralize the effects of hard water.
They are also ideal in facial mister
because, unlike mineral water, floral
water is non-drying.
They are certified free of petroleum-based
mineral oils, paraben, silicone, colouring,
synthetic fragrances, pesticides and
animal products, and they are never tested
on animals.
External Use: As a body
spray or a face compress. Gently wipe
with a soft facecloth without rubbing
to avoid dehydrating the skin. Mix with
a skin cream or a mask. Use to perfume
children's bath water. Ionize in children's
rooms.
