Essential Oils for Spring Cleaning

Here are a few tips on the use of LOTUS AROMA essential oils for your spring cleaning.

Cooking odours will vanish if you do this: bring water and vinegar to a boil in a saucepan, remove from heat, add a few drops of your choice of essential oil and let cool down.

Turn your dishwashing liquid into a disinfectant by adding ten drops of one or more antiseptic essential oils (e.g. Lemon and Peppermint), and use it to wash and disinfect your dishes in one easy step.

Take the stench out of plastic containers by soaking them after each use in a concentrated solution made of ¼ cup of baking soda and 2 drops of Lemon essential oil in 3 cups of lukewarm water.

For a delicately fragrant living room, pour a few drops of Cinnamon or Eucalyptus Globulus essential oil on the air outlet of your vacuum cleaner before use.

Disinfect the air in your living room with a few drops of Lemon or Grapefruit essential oil in an air diffuser. Ten minutes will do it!

For guaranteed freshness, scent your wash water with your favorite essential oil. Additionally, you can put a few drops of True Lavender essential oil on an unscented fabric softener sheet in the dryer to give a delightfully light fragrance to your linens.

Dust mites love to hide in bed sheets. Get rid of these pests by regularly ventilating the room and your sheets, in addition to diffusing a miticide essential oil mixture (Cinnamon, Ceylan Citronella, Peppermint) twenty minutes a day.

A few drops of Cedar and True Lavender essential oils on a porous stone in the closet will keep moths at bay and protect your clothes.
